Understanding our compassionate and comprehensive admission process

ADMISSION POLICY

Residents considered for admission to New Vision must be programmatically compatible with each other. Similar likes, dislikes, and physical abilities are taken into consideration during the initial intake assessment. New Vision welcomes individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors but may exclude persons who are actively suicidal and who are destructive of property unless an Individual Service Plan identifies the areas of risk and serves as a reasonable plan to minimize these risks. Initial referral and assessment information must be at New Vision upon admission of the resident.
Within 90 days before admission or 30 days of admission, each resident must be examined by a physician or registered nurse and found to be free of communicable diseases and TB tests. Documentation of this examination is required before admission. Letters of Guardianship and protective Placement of any applicable legal documents must be available to New Vision upon admission of the resident.

SUPERVISION

A Program Manager will be available in the home when residents are present, Monday-Friday. When the Program Manager is not available, qualified resident care staff will be in charge. New Vision offers 24-hour care unless you only receive DROP-IN CARE HOURS.
